Gardening - An Innate Part Of Our Nature

For centuries, gardens have had a specific draw to them, which makes them extremely appealing to people of all ages. If you thumb through the pages of history you will find that within the lifestyle of humans gardens have always played a large role, as well as being extremely popular. Gardens date back many of thousands of years, even in a variety of religions, such as:

1. The Christian Bible - Humanity began in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. A garden was in the same area of Jesus' Resurrection.
2. Gardens were built by Buddhists.

Garden's even surround the majority of government buildings and palaces. You are now wondering why gardens are so popular; after all, they are just a variety of different plants. We know why people have vegetable gardens, that part is clear, but why other garden types? Flower gardens for example, just by looking at them it is hard to understand any major benefits a flower garden could hold for a person.

Well, when you really think about it there are many different benefits to planting a flower garden or any type of decorative garden for that matter. The first being that we, as people, have naturally developed the desire for nature. We love to begin things from its seed and watch as it grows into a fully mature flower. The desire, while not as strong as our desires to succeed in the career world, is still enough to lure us in the yard to create small or large gardens to give use serenity and calm away from our busy lives.

Many people, choose to use their gardens for time of exercises or meditation, it provides a relaxing place for focus

on what matters most to you in your life. Furthermore, is healthy for the body. It provides you with exercise both physically and mentally, all the while helping the environment at the same time. Whatever the reason for gardening, more people sure take part in it. Not only does it provide you with a place to relax, some beneficial physical activity, but also it works to made our world that much more beautiful.

Whose day would not be that much better, if they could walk out their door and be engulfed by beautiful fragrances, scenery, and serenity? I know mine would be and it is for those exact reasons, I planted a garden in my own yard.

Summary:

The reason why is so appealing to every one of us is possibly due to our primitive affinity to nature. Despite our desire to industrialize and progress, we love and thus take out the time from our busy schedule to pursue this wonderful hobby.
